Orbi RBE973S Setup

Connection (Sync Button)

Place the Orbi router near to the modem and use the Ethernet cable to connect. Insert one end of the cable to the router WAN port (Yellow port) and other end to the modem LAN port. Now, to connect the Satellites to the router without using wire or cable, you must turn on the devices first. Then press the Sync button on the devices. They will connect automatically.

Connection (Ethernet Backhaul)

Place the Orbi router near to the modem and use the Ethernet cable to connect. Insert one end of the cable to the router WAN port (Yellow port) and other end to the modem LAN port

There are three ways in a backhaul connection;

1. If there is only one satellite to connect then use Ethernet cable. Insert one end to the router LAN port and other to the satellite port. Then you can configure the settings.
2. To connect the two satellites to router via cable, then you need two pairs of LAN cable. Insert both cables ends to the router LAN ports. One of the cables end goes in to first satellite and other will goes in the other satellite port.
3. You can use the Access Point device to connect satellites and router via cable. In this method, you need three pair of LAN cables. Insert one cable to router LAN port and other to the satellites port. All the other end of the cables goes in to the Access Point ports.

Configuration (Orbi App)

The Orbi app is available on the Play Store, App Store as well as on the Netgear support site. You just have to connect to the internet and install it in your phone and access it. If you are setting up your first Orbi device, then you must tap on the Sign Up button.

The interface can access through the computer or laptop web browser. So start it with connecting the computer to the Orbi network via LAN or SSID. Then open the browser and search the orbilogin.net or orbilogin.com.

You will get to the interface orbilogin page, where you have to type in the admin username and password.

The admin details are given on the label or user manual of device. Just enter the admin username and password, with which you will get in to the app dashboard. Here, you can easily manage the settings of the device.
